Homework ::: Critique on September 12th

Traditional vs. Digital

You will make a total of 4 works of art for this assignment.

Part one using any traditional methods of your choice (ex. paint, pencil, pastel, watercolour, collage, etc) make an original work. Part two now recreate it digitally. Try to use the digital tools very closely to the way in which you used the materials.

For the second two works I want you to reverse the order. Make an original work of art using the computer. After completing the work I want you to recreate it as closely as possible using any traditional materials that you would like.

Have fun! We will document these and post these on the blog.

In class assignment :: checking in :: warming up

Before you leave today make sure to post an 800 x 600 pixel artwork that contains 1) a pic from yourself taken in photobooth 2) some typography that says your name 3) Patterned, textured, grungy, vector or other layers that connect all the elements. Post this on the blog with a heading that says (Your name) checking in
