Homework for March 12th
Using Illustrator/Photoshop/or any other progams create two book covers for the Roane Writer's Group.
Design brief:
1. The book will be 8 5/8" X 5 1/2". The spine will be approximately 1/4" wide. (make sure to create a 1/4" bleed around the book)
2. There will be writing on the outside of the back cover The title will be:
"Read our words - Hear our voice"
3. The rest of the words on the front cover will stay essentially the same as the previous edition, but Fall 2010 will change to Fall 2011; and Second annual will change to Third annual Student Writing Contest. (See image below.)
Concept 1 should include: a flying bird, with trailing loose feathers leading to a quill and a writing hand
Concept 2 should be something based upon the title of the book to submit to image that conveys: "Read our words - Hear our voice"

Homework for February 27th

Complete the following and post them to the blog PRIOR to class next week.
1. Go to VIDEOCOPILOT.net
Under tutorials complete the Virtual 3d Photo project using a comp of your own design containing at least 3 layers. You may want to download the project files they provide and use them for reference.

2. Choose and complete a tutorial of your choice. Review the tutorial description to make sure you can complete it before spending too much time and realize you must also utilize a plugin or 3d modeling software you may not be familiar with.
